Transparent Payment Breakdown for Handyman Services in the Local Area
A Day's Pay believes in complete transparency. Before you accept any job, see exactly how your payment flows from customer to contractor.
Simplify Your Payments with A Day's Pay
Customer Pays A Day’s Pay Directly
All homeowners pay A Day’s Pay, not the contractor. This allows us to manage the entire billing process from start to finish — invoicing, payment collection, and customer follow‑up. You never chase customers for money, and you never deal with awkward payment conversations. We handle everything so you can focus on the work.
Lead Fee (Only When You Accept a Job)
You only pay for opportunities you choose to take. Each accepted lead includes a flat fee — typically $20–$50 depending on job type — which covers customer acquisition, screening, and qualification. Declined leads cost you nothing, giving you full control over your workload and expenses.
15% Commission Deducted After Payment
Once the customer pays for the completed job, we deduct a 15% commission from the total amount. This fee covers all the behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps your schedule full and your business running smoothly — customer communication, scheduling, billing, payment processing, and platform support.
Processing Fees Passed Through at Cost
You pay exactly what the processor charges — nothing more, nothing hidden (usually 2.9% + $0.30).
Optional Administrative Fees (If Applicable)
Some jobs require extra coordination, such as materials pickup, rush scheduling, or after‑hours support. When these apply, they’re always disclosed upfront so you know exactly what to expect. Most jobs do not include admin fees.
Payouts Within 24 Hours of Job Completion
As soon as the job is completed and the customer pays, your payout is processed within 24 hours. You receive your earnings quickly and consistently, helping you maintain steady cash flow without waiting days or weeks for your money.
Clear, Transparent Payout Statements
Every payout includes a detailed breakdown showing the job total, all fees deducted, and your final net payout. Nothing is hidden, nothing is unclear — just clean, predictable earnings you can count on.
